Moraingy means boxing in Madagascar. This is a barenuckle and kickboxing combat. In June and July, the Sakalavas meet for the traditional struggle: the Moraingy. This fight between the members of neighbouring villages is typical in the Bemahara region.
Organised moraingy tournaments are usually taking place at the regular Sunday beach party in Sambava.
