Sakalava is one of the best spots in the world for kitesurfing and windsurfing. The wind statistics are amazing, the Varatraza (the name of the local wind) blows from early May to end of November between 25 and 35 knots. Everywhere in the bay is shallow and flat water, which are perfect conditions to begin kite or windsurfing, but on the reef, the waves (1,5m-3m) will satisfy the more advanced riders. The school provides equipment adapted for all levels. Two instructors are available for courses and offer advise on which equipment to rent.
