Nosy Betanihazo is part of the Mitsio Archipelago located northeast of Nosy Be, in the northwest of Madagascar.
Betanihazo forms together with Nosy Betalinjona, Nosy Beangovo and Nosy Antsoha the Quatre Frères (The four brothers), four small islets of silver basalt.
