Tickets can be obtained at the Transfert Anakao office, located in the Mahavatse harbour area in Tulear. The transfer to Anakao village takes about one hour. The used fibre glass speed boat has been created especially for this transfer and was built in 2012. The boat has two engines (175Cv Suzuki) and offers space for up to 18 passengers. Life wests and waterproof luggage storage compartments are provided onboard.

For safety reasons the boat leaves early in the morning, as the afternoons can be very windy. Departure from Tulear to Anakao is 9.30am and from your hotel in Anakao to Tulear at 7.30am. In case of a connecting flight in Tulear the transfer can be arranged even earlier. Between June and September humpback whales and dolphins can be seen throughout the boat transfer.
