The village has two small shops. A shaded resting area next to the trail running through the village provides snacks, drinks and tea. Often the owner plays loud Malagasy music powered by his solar pannels behind the house.

There is a first-aid station located in Beangona. It is run by Dr. Flavien and his wife Stella (+261 (0)34 2827642), who works at a midwife on location.
