The route towards the south, however, offers more scenic views of the surrounding landscapes and will pass through bamboo forest and a small natural pool to cool down in and where birds, such as the [[SarivazoGrey-headed lovebird|Karaoko]], can often be spotted. The walk thereafter continues for another 2.5km of easy trail until the camp.
