Antsalaka is located about 600m above sea level and usually experiences much rainfall during the summer months. The area is rich in rice farming and , vegetables and tropical fruits, such as maize, carrot, sweet potato, haricot, tomato, and tropical fruit such as pineapple, guava, papaya, mango, lychee etc.
