Tickets can be obtained at the Transfert Anakao office, located in the Mahavatse harbour area in Tulear. The transfer to Anakao village takes about one hour. The fibre glass speed boat has been designed especially for this type of transfer and was built in 2012. The boat has one powerful 175Cv Suzuki engine and offers space for up to 18 passengers. Life wests and waterproof luggage storage compartments are provided onboard.

For safety reasons the boat leaves early in the morning, as the afternoons can be very windy. Departure from Tulear to Anakao is at 9.30am and from your hotel in Anakao to Tulear at 7.30am. In case of a connecting flight in Tulear, the transfer can be arranged earlier. Between June and September humpback whales and dolphins may be seen throughout the boat transfer.
