In the middle of the village is a primary school, attended by the kids of the surrounding area. Various souvenir stalls along the street offer shells of all sizes, coloured sand in bottles and fruits to passing by tourists.

Next to a bar and restaurant is the junction with the road to [[Sakalava Bay]] (6km). Shortly after Ankorikakely village in the direction north lies the hotel [[Hotel Meva Plage|Meva Plage]] directly at the waterfront.
