The Mikea people live in the dry forests and arid steppes northeast of Toilara in the region of the Ihotry lakein the southwest of Madagascar . They are a small volk of nomades and mainly feed on roots (babou). Until today, the Mikea people have preserved an own lifestyle without any constraints.
