Located along the roadside about halfway between Ivato International Airport and Antananarivo is a highly fortified building home to the US Embassy completed in 2009.
There are three types of US Embassy structures around the world; Large, Medium and Small. The structure in Madagascar is the medium sized version. However, this relatively large and uncharming building is unmissable in a Malagasy setting. A church annexed to the embassy was completed in 2014.
