Ambohijoky is one of the twelve sacred hills of the ancient Merina Kingdom, located in the south-west of Antananarivo.

Formerly called Analamasina, it is located south of Antsahadinta and Ambatomalaza. The original inhabitants, the Manisotra, resisted King Andrianampoinimerina for a long time before defeat.
