Moraingy' or Morengy, means boxing in Madagascar. This is a barenuckle and kickboxing combat. In June and July, the Sakalavas meet for the traditional struggle: the Moraingy. This fight between the members of neighbouring villages is typical in the Bemahara region. The sport is especially popular in the northern part of Madagascar, especially around Majunja, Diego and Ambanja.
