The small village of Ankorikakely stretches along Rue de Ramena almost halfway between Diego Suarez (10km) and Ramena (8km). The elevated village overlooks the French Bay (Baie des Français) and Nosy Lonja (Sugarloaf Island).
In the middle of the village is a primary school, attended by the kids of the surrounding area. Various souvenir stalls are erected along the street, offering shells of all sizes, coloured sand in bottles and fruits to passing by tourists.
Next to a bar and restaurant is the junction to Sakalava Bay (6km). After Ankorikakely village direction north lies the hotel Meva Plage directly at the waterfront.
