Cotisse Transport is a scheduled taxi service offering transport between Antananarivo and Toamasina, Mahajanga, Morondava, Fianaratsoa and Diégo-Suarez.
Cotisse Transport was established in 2013. The company's vehicles are a comfortable alternative to the usually crowded taxi-brousse. The cars leave on time and the drivers drive carefully without speeding. There are four different transport classes available. As an extra there is free Wifi on board of every bus.
It is possible to reserve a seat, tickets however must be obtained before departure. They can either be paid on location or via mobile bank transfer. The office and bus station in Antananarivo is located at the northern taxi-brousse station Ambodivona.

Cotisse Transport Diego
Since 2019 Cotisse offers the route between Diégo-Suarez and Antananarivo. The bus leaves Tana about noon and depending on road conditions can be expected to arrive in Diego about 28-30 hours later, so between 4pm and 6pm the following day. In the other direction, the departure from Diego is at around 8am and can be expected in Tana between noon and 2pm.
The price of a ticket is 90,000 Ar (April 2019). The tickets bought can only be used for the complete stretch, so, unfortunately, it's not possible to break the journey down in parts by a stay-over in Ambanja for example without buying two separate tickets for the complete route.
Kilao's Hotel is located in the same building as Cotisse's Diego station which includes a good restaurant and a cyber office with internet terminals (for those who still use them). Alternatively, another recommended hotel, bar and restaurant within walking distance and with a great view of the city and the entire region is Hotel La Terrasse du Voyageur.

At the well stocked bar is a TV and Wifi is available for free.
Le Restaurant Taxi-Brousse
Restaurant and hotel just a couple of metres from the Cotisse station. The restaurant is open daily from 5.30am till 9pm and serves beside breakfast also very basic Malagasy meals. For those who arrive at night rooms are available as well.
