The Jacob Mosque stands in the centre of Diego Suarez, the northernmost town in Madagascar.
A sign next to the mosque reads: Constructed in 1921, it is one of the Sunnite places of cult of the Muslim. The Sunnites in Diego-Suarez are from Yemen (the first dockers), Mauritius, Comoros, from Surat in India and the converted Malagasies.
