Arivonimamo

Arivonimamo (or Arivonimamy) is a town of about 10,000 and about 22,000 inhabitants in the complete area by teh same name. The town is located about 40km west of Antananarivo along the RN1 national route. Madagascar's international airport was once in Arivonimamo, until replaced by Ivato international airport in 1967. Arivonimamo Airport about 3km from the town serves as an international stand-by airport.
