Ambilobe is a town in north Madagascar. The population in 2001 was approximately 56,000. Its main agriculture includes sugarcane, rice and tomato, while cotton is also grown and fishing employs about 10 percent of the population.

Ambilobe is the closest town to Ankarana Reserve.

Ambilobe is a junction town for transport to and from Iharana, Sambava and other towns along the east coast. Cars travel between Ambilobe and Diego Suarez, Iharana and the south, direction Ambanja.

Albert Zafy, the president of Madagascar between 1993 until 1996 was born in Ambilobe.
