Ambohimandroso

Ambohimandroso - the city of progress - is a small village located in the highlands of Antananarivo, about 40 minutes by foot from Ambohimanga. To live up to its village name and for easier accessibility, the commune decided to cobble the otherwise bumpy dirt road connecting Ambohimandroso with Ambohimanga.

Amobhimandroso is one of the 22 villages surrounding Ambohimanga Rova. In Ambohimandroso, there is one school. Most of the villagers live from farming, growing rice, onions and cassava amongst other vegetables in the valley.
