MediaWiki:Banner

The banners displayed here appear on the left column below the navigations items on all pages of the wiki in a random order and therafter alternate every six second with a blending transition.

The set up procedure for new banners is detailed below:

• Create image in GIMP 147x85
• File:Banner template.xcf
• Paste in background
• Select all
• Select -> Rounded Rectangle -> Radius (12%)
• Unselect top-left, bottom-left and right.
• Copy background
• Paste new layer
• Add text or move text on top. Sans Bold 13 / hinting and antialiasing. Position 6 pixels down if on top and 4 pixels up if on bottom.
• Save as xcf/png/jpeg/gif
• Add to to array in MediaWiki:Common.js (image/link-target/preload)
