Antohomaro is a small village by Lake Andamoty, also commonly referred to as Lake Antohomaro, 7km from Sambava in the direction of Antalaha. Although the lake is known to be home to crocodiles, the crocodilians reportedly prefer the more southern area of the lake and are not commonly sighted, as locals still bathe and wash their clothes by the lakeshore near the village.
On clear days the peak of Marojejy can be seen in the far distance across the lake.
The Edmond Albius Vanilla Museum is located along the road direction Antalaha close to Antohomaro village.
