Due to bad poor road conditionconditions, the village is best reached by boat from Tulear, which usually take takes about one hour. The Two small uninhabited nature protected islands of , [[Nosy Ve]] and [[Nosy Satrana]] , are located just outside close to the coast of Anakao . Both islands are uninhabited and offer no accommodation and are popular for can only be visited by day visitors.
