The route towards the southsouthwest, however, offers more scenic views of the surrounding landscapes and will pass through bamboo forest and lead to a small natural pool cascade to cool down in and where birds, such as the [[Grey-headed lovebird|Karaoko]], can often be spotted. The walk thereafter continues for another 2.5km of easy trail until the camp.
