Coppeneur is German chocolate producer that has set up a cocoa plantation on Nosy Be Island where they grow organic Criollo and Trinitario cocoa derived from the Sambirano region of northern Madagascar. Prior to setting up the Madagascar plantation, Coppeneur has been making chocolate using cocoa from selected South American plantations. Their initial Madagascar crop is expected in 2011.
