Namehana is one of the twelve sacred hills of the anciant Merina Kingdom.

Namahena is located in the north ih [Antananarivo]] and became famous on account of a battle between units of the Hova army and the rearguard of the French expedition in 1895. ((Text by Isabelle Ratsira)
