Small port town, not for big ships, only for transport to Sainte Marie Island and more remote areas of northeast Madagascar that are not easily accessible by road.==> [[Melissa Express]]

Most houses made of tin.
Best accommodation is Accommodation at the taxi-brousse station Hotel Concorde. 25,000 Ariary with restaurant. Best (best rooms on top-floor).  The best accommodation and restaurant in town is [[Natafred|Resto Hotel Chez Jardin de Natafred]] Taxi-brousse from Tamatave 10,000 Ar.
Ocean with beautiful bays.
