La Capannina is an excellent restaurant with a laid-back atmosphere, located away from the tourist strip of Diego Suarez. The restaurant offers a good choice of Malagasy and French cuisine, as well as pizza.

Depending on the catch of the day, a daily changing menu suggests various seafood variations. After a delicious meal guests can choose from over 20 rum homemade arrangements. The cacao rhum arrangé is a must-try, you will not likely find it elsewhere!
In 2010, the French owner Philippe realised his dream of starting his own restaurant in Madagascar after having served in the French Army for 20 years. Philipe is an outgoing host who likes to socialise with his guests as well as practise his English when the opportunity occurs.
La Capannina is open from 11.30am to 2.30pm and from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, including Sunday. The restaurant is closed Wednesdays.
