Nosy Ankarea is a small island part of the [[Mitsio Archipelago]] in the north -west of Madagascar. The island is located north-east of [[Nosy Be]].
Nosy Ankarea is surrounded by some beautiful beaches and home to many succulent plants. The island's forest is relatively untouched due to various fadys. From the peak of the highest mountain (219 metres) one has a spectacular view over the Mitsio Archipelago and surrounding reefs.
