Vohemar, also known as Iharana, is a coastal town in northern Madagascar in the district of the same name within the Sava region of the Antsiranana province. The population in the Vohemar area is approximately 30,000,.
The town has a local airport served by [[Air Madagascar]] and a maritime harboutharbour.
A local population love live from farming, livestock and fishing and crops grown in the region including include cassava, maize, rice and peanut.
There is a Bank of Africa, internet access cafe and a nightclub named Zanzibar.
The easiest way to reach Vohemar by road is from [[Sambava]]. The road from [[Diego Suarez]] is in poor condition and can take up to 14 hours.
