Arivonimamo (or Arivonimamy) is a town in the central highlands of Madagascar of about 10,000 people, with about 19,000 people in the entire area. The town is located ca. 40km west of [[Antananarivo]] along the RN1 national route. Madagascar's international airport was once situated in Arivonimamo until it was replaced by [[Ivato International Airport]] in 1967. The old airport, Arivonimamo Air Base, lies about 3km from town and now serves as an international stand-by airport.
