Walking from Morondava to Kimony Beach is takes about 2,5 hours and gives a very deserted beachgreat insight in the surrounding nature. Starting early morning guarantees that one does not get too heated up in the sun. There It is just one small village nearby, but no shops also possible to walk along the beach or restaurants. Fishermen come and go in their pirogues, whilst their wifes and kids are waiting for them in the shadow of only a few bushesby taxi.

Kimony Beach is a very deserted beach. There is just one small village nearby, but no shops or restaurants. Fishermen come and go in their pirogues, whilst their wifes and kids are waiting for them in the shadow of only a few bushes.
Until recently visitors could overnight at the hotel "Le Domaine des Baobabs". Unfortunately the French owners had a conflict of interests and after some fighting the hotel closed down. Now nature took the property over and filled the in any cace unnecessary swimming pool with sand.
