The village has two small shops. A shaded resting area next to the trail running through the village provides snacks, drinks and tea. Often the The owner often plays loud Malagasy music aloud, powered by his solar pannels panels behind the house.
There is no official accommodation available in the village, but it is possible to rent a small hut (below) from one the families living in Beangona. In 2016 the price for a night was 10,000 Ariary.

Beangona has a first-aid station at the western end of the village. It is run by Dr. Flavien and his wife Stella (+261 (0)34 2827642), who works at as a midwife on location.
