Alphonse, the President of the cooperative, has manages a 4ha cacao planting area around KOSAMA's processing facility close to the village of [[Ambohimena]] located between [[Ambanja]] and [[Ankify]]. Its members represent planting areas of about 100 hectares in the regions of Ambanja and [[Sambirano]].

KOSAMA's cacao fermentation biologically certified planting, processing and drying areas, which are biologically certified, supply cacao beans to artisanal chocolate makers such as [[Éka Chocolate]] among other premium bean-to-bar chocolate brands.

The cooperative welcomes visitors who would like to visit a cacao plantation to and learn about cacao production.
