Antalaha is a popular destination among explorers of the East coast. A long beautiful beach is part of the scenery. The region is affected by seasonal cyclones, with heavy cyclones every few years affecting crops and even the world price of vanilla. The easiest best way to move get around town is by foot, tuk-tuk or [[pousse-pousse]]. The central marketplace is of Tanambao is open daily and is especially busy on Thursday mornings.
