The Joseph Ramanandraibe Group (was founded in 1927) and is now in its third generation. Joseph Ramanandraibe (1900-1973) was a merchant and a leading figure of the Protestant Church in Madagascar, for which he served many years as treasurer of the "Isan'Enimbolan'Imerina", the institution within the Church which organised the evangelisation of coastal provices through its missionaries.
While the patrimony left behind by Mr Joseph Ramanandraibe RAMANANDRAIBE was primarily real estate, the second generation had already made a breakthrough in industry (1900-1973the Société Malgache de Couvertures, Chocolaterie Robert) , though its main business was merchant and a leading figure of the Protestant Church in Madagascartrading major exports, for which he served many years such as Treasurer for the "Isan'Enimbolan'Imerina"coffee, vanilla, clove, spices, the institution within the Church which organised the evangelisation of coastal provices through its missionariesessential oils etc.
