Antalaha can be reached by land, sea or air. The quickest and maybe most comfortable way of transport is by plane. Antalaha has an airport about ten kilometres out of town which is not served by [[Air Madagascar]] but which can be accessed by [[Private Charter Flights|private air charters]]. Antalaha, pronounced Antala, is a coastal town on the Northeast coast of Madagascar. Antalaha is a town with some unique architecture dating back to the French colonial times. The town was once the capital of vanilla since the introduction of vanilla in the 19th century. Several major vanilla exporters are still headquartered here.

A long beautiful beach often with huge waves is part of the scenery and is a popular destination among explorers of the East coast. During the rainy seasons the area affected by cyclones with the last major cyclone in in 2017.
