Anivorano Nord or Anivorano du Nord is a town and commune located along the RN6 in the Antsiranana II district in the north of Madagascar.
East of the town and reachable by foot there is Lac Antagnavo. The lake is sacred to the Malagasy people and home to many crocodiles. As with other sacred lakes in Madagascar, also this one shares the story that its crocodiles are cursed humans.
