The first time a site visitor accesses MadaCamp, a random banner is shown in the left column of all pages on madacamp.com. The banner rotation thereafter alternates between different advertisers every couple of seconds in a fixed display order.
After the user left the site and eventually returns at a later time or date, the next banner in order is displayed, but of course only when using the same browser and computer, tablet or smartphone as on the previous visit.
Or in case the site visitor pauses the animation via the STOP link below the banner, it will stay fixed and will not switch over to the next automatically unless or until the user clicks AUTO again.
The NEXT and BACK links function to click through advertised offers. This allows site visitors to find whatever they may have seen before, which is more user-friendly than other non-stop banner display systems that do not allow users to affect the display in any obvious way. Instead, giving users better control can make them more open to the advertised offers.
