Ivato International Airport is the main airport of Madagascar, located about 16km from the centre of Antananarivo. Ivato connects major routes in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Ivato has a has an international and domestic terminal located next to each other in the same building. Domestic flights throughout Madagascar are primarily served by Air Madagascar but also by private charter companies, such as STA.
There are various currency exchange services at the airport. Located opposite the international terminal just across the parking lot is Travel Exchange. They have offered a slightly better exchange rate in 2010 and 2011 than other currency exchange services including the major banks in the city.
