Ambohimandroso

Ambohimandroso - the city of progress - is a small village located in the highlands of Antananarivo, about 40 minutes by foot from Ambohimanga. To live up to its village name and for easier accessibility, the commune decided to cobble the otherwise bumpy dirt road connecting Ambohimandroso with Ambohimanga. This road work is planned to be finished in early 2014.

There is one school in Ambohimandroso. Most of the villagers are farmers, growing rice, onions and cassava amongst other vegetalbes in the valley.
