Coppeneur is German chocolate producer since 1993 that uses cocoa growhn grown in various South American locations. More recentlyRecently, the company have they set up a cocoa plantation on [[Nosy Be|Nosy Be Island]] in northern Madagascar, where they grow organic Criollo and Trinitario cocoa derived from the [[Sambirano]] region. Their first crop is expected in 2011. A 3-part German TV programme documents their project below.
